Aimee Duguid is a Scottish Live Music & Conceptual Portrait Photographer currently based in Edinburgh.

Holding a BA (Hons) in Photography from Edinburgh Napier University, Aimee specialises mainly on documenting live music events and experimentation in creative portraiture.

Inspired by her passion for music and dedication to women's rights activism, her work ocassionally addresses themes of powerful women in their fields and women’s issues.

Aimee mainly works with digital photography, but does occasionally use film in her practice.

Growing up, music was always a huge part of Aimee’s life—and concerts quickly became her favourite place to be. It was never just about the music; it was the performance, the atmosphere, that indescribable feeling when your favourite artist plays your favourite song. Photography became her way of preserving those moments. While she can’t relive the experience, a photograph can encapsulate exactly what that moment felt like—and that’s the magic she strives to capture in her work.

Aimee also uses photography as a means of personal expression, often exploring themes rooted in women's rights. Her previous work addresses important issues such as sexual assault and harassment, gender equality, and the societal pressures faced by women. For Aimee, creating work that educates, resonates, and sparks conversation holds the deepest meaning.
